Hi Fiona, I'm Cathy...we will be moving to Oakville hopefully at the beginning of August. Would also love to make new friends. My husband will be working in Toronto. I have 3 kids..boys of 9 and 3, and a girl of 11. My one son however(the 9yr old) will only be coming to Toronto during the holidays, since he will be staying in SA with his father.Would also like to do kid stuff and get together for tea and a chat:)

Hi,thanks for reply.We will be staying at furnished suites in Oakville for August, if we get the work permit in time.We hope to find a place to rent from Sep onwards, while staying at the suites in Aug.  I also need to get my daughter into a school before the school year begins.Where are you from and what does your husband do? My husband is a quantity surveyor in Toronto in construction industry, we are from England. If you need help finding somewhere to live I can recommend a realtor who will view properties for you and take you to look around. Will pick this up on your private email when I get back, just off to celebrate our 1st Canada day..

Here is the e-mail for Doug MacKenzie, the realtor we used, would highly recommend. He actually viewed the house for us before we arrived in Canada and arranged the lease so we could move straight in.
