Number one is to check if your qualifications are accepted in Canada.

If they are, you should move on to exploring visa options and requirements.

Hi Nick — the usual path is:

1) Choose a designated learning institution (DLI) and verify the program’s current PGWP eligibility before paying a deposit.

2) Obtain the letter of acceptance and, where required, the provincial/territorial attestation (or Quebec CAQ), then apply for the study permit with proof of tuition, living funds, travel documents, and a credible study plan.

3) Work rights depend on the permit conditions and current IRCC rules; confirm the current off-campus limit rather than relying on older posts.

4) If your goal is to work after graduation, check the exact program length, school type, and any current language/field requirements for a PGWP. A spouse or children may need separate permits or status.
