Relocating Abudhabi - Advise needed.

schaz

Hi everyone,

We're planning to relocate to Abu Dhabi from New Zealand. We're a family of 4 (myself, wife, 14 and 6 year old kids).

We're looking at Khalifa city for accommodations due to the workplace being near. The main concern is finding the good schools.

I have been considering Raha International School that seems adequate, however, I would appreciate if someone can advise of any other good international schools.

Also, how is it living in Abu dhabi in general ? How is Khalifa city in terms of living, social activities / catch up etc.

I'm an engineering management professional and looking forward to connect with people around.

Thanks,

Shabbir.

Hello Shabbir,

Just bringing this thread back up with a quick message. 😉

Do you already have a date set for your relocation, or is it still to be decided?

I hope this discussion will help you gather useful information about schools, lifestyle, and social activities in the area you mentioned.

Wishing you all the best,

Cheryl

Hi Shabbir, welcome to Abu Dhabi 🙂

Khalifa City is a great choice for families—quiet, spacious, and close to good schools and workplaces. Raha International School is well regarded, and you may also want to look at Al Yasmina Academy, Brighton College Abu Dhabi, and GEMS American Academy, all popular with expat families.

Abu Dhabi overall is very safe, family-friendly, and easy to settle into. Many relocating families explore options ranging from Luxury Villas and Apartments Abu Dhabi

to more long-term plans to Buy Property in Abu Dhabi

. There’s also growing interest in New Off-Plan Projects in Abu Dhabi

and premium Branded residences Abu Dhabi

for lifestyle and investment purposes.

Socially, most connections happen through schools, professional networks, and nearby areas like Yas Island and Al Raha. Wishing you and your family a smooth relocation and a great start in Abu Dhabi.
