@Ibrahim Nagi my major is English, and it took them more than two months to send me my visa application number.

@maya laz they asked me to wait for the flight ticket, and told me not to book it myself.

what were you offered on the offer letter? How much did it say on your contract?

can I kindly ask, when you signed your offer letter? And how many months later did the actual contract come through?

So an update!

we will be waiting for our contracts for a while, as they are now using the existing staff to be part of the SLT team.

MOE/ADEK/eSe has to hire over 200 leadership positions for October. This includes Principals, VP's and Head of Faculty. They are getting that done before filling in the teaching  positions because some teachers will move up.

as they are in the process, no idea when this will happen. I’d say start looking for jobs elsewhere

@Aysha Ismail a friend of mine who is a teacher with ESE claims that a new cohort of teachers will be 'gathered' for October. Not sure how much truth is in that.

My Contract hasn’t even arrived!

just a heads up to everyone, I spoke with one of the HR. If you applied for Abu Dhabi, all the spaces are full apart from al dhafra and al ain!

the whole place is a mess, they’re rebranding the name from MOE to ESE and sorting out management. Oh by the way, all the locals have filled in the Abu Dhabi positions, those expats that were already in the country also have Abu Dhabi positions.

I am not taking Al Ain or Al Dhafra, I’m at this point of just going back home. ESE is not worth it.

So guys my contract came in today! Anyone know how long the visa stage takes?

Mine took 2 weeks.

I received the visa last week and now waiting for the ticket fly. Am from lebanon

How long you  need to travel when you receive your visa???

Also, how do I get a letter from by bank with an iban? They want like a special one with a stamp?

I signed the contract on thursday i remember next  thursday exactly i received an email asking for the copy of passport to start with the visa proceas. Exactly after 5 days i received the visa. This happened last wednesday and now waiting for the ticket.

I am so annoyed with worldteachers. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go with them.

so they just emailed me now saying I have to pay for my visa, they had like well to tell me this. They made me fly to Oman to do a border run, as they said I don’t need to pay for visa. It’s only for those who are currently working elsewhere. Seeing that mine has been cancelled since July from my previous employer, I didn’t have to pay for it.

today they email me saying I have to pay 2,100 dirhams and then it will be reimbursed later.

at this point I don’t even want the job, worldteachers made me fly to the uae last month I’ve been paying different accommodations. My contract clearly states I am entitled to flights!

ESE will definitely reimburse you. But I’m surprised that they aren’t providing. The visa themselves.

When’s your actually work start date?

also I can’t believe WT made you fly out. That’s ridiculous. I’ve not ever known a company to do that unless job was set in stone.

23 Oct 2021 : My online test

01 Nov 2021 : My interview

15 Nov 2021 : Result declared

22 June 2022 : Pre employment check completed

12 Oct 2022 : Initial offer letter

27 Oct 2022 : Final contract

9 Nov 2022 : got visa

11 Nov 2022 : got Ticket

15 Nov 2022 : Flight to Dubai

The time between my interview result and flight date is exactly 1year. (15 Nov 2021 to 15 Nov 2022)

After the interview result I waited almost 11 months to get my initial offer letter. After that everything was fast.

I think time may vary person to person.

Hi, does anyone have an idea about when the next batch of teachers will be selected to travel to the UAE? The term begins on 2 January, I wonder if ESE will hire anyone around that time?

@Narcas I would have assumed the next batch would leave over Christmas. But I could be wrong

@Narcas I have been issued a final offer and am due to begin in January.
