JOB OFFER IN DUBAI

LOHMUS

I am a GP/Gynaecologist and I have been offered a job in a hospital.I have been advised to contact a travel agency for the formalities upon a payment.
I am afraid if it's not a scam.
Please advise.

Doctors, I'm informed, are intelligent, educated people. You are failing to provide evidence to prove this.

As a note, in giving your name and location, then showing you're potentially open to scams, there's a reasonable possibility you're about to get your email and phone spammed to hell.
It took me around a minute to find both, and only that long because my son was showing me his latest Lego creation.

I suggest you report your own post and request your details be removed.

It's a scam.  Has been covered before extensively:

What does a detail like that matter when the 'job' offer is so good?

I can fully understand how poorly educated, perhaps desperate, people might well fall for scams of this nature, but quite how someone working as a General Practitioner/Obstetrician and Gynecologist (retired or otherwise) can manage to be so silly is beyond me.
Even worse, he advertised his gullibility and gave away his contact details (including his address) when he did so.

You may not be aware, but I'm really a Nigerian prince that needs help moving a large amount of cash into Mauritius. I will email doctors there in the hope they'll assist me. I'll give them 20% of the $12.5 million  - all I need is their bank details and a direct debit setting up.

Also, if the OP has sent any documents, even scans, there's a good chance of identity theft. That's not so unusual but more likely in this case as all his details are so easily found on the net.

One bitten, twice shy ... or maybe not.

OUCH!
