Riyadh events 2011

That sounds good, although I doubt they'd be able to meet the wine criteria. Still, I suppose its better than nothing. All I need now is to find out where this fabled Intercontinental is and find a couple of mates who aren't too stuck up to dole out the necessary dough.
Intercontinental is on Maather Street, near the Ministry of the Interior (looks like a flying saucer!) It is a bit pricey for food - the main restaurant is a buffet style and is SAR 200 for dinner! However, food is really nice to be honest.

Can't see you getting the wine you want I am afraid - they do a non-alcoholic Sangria which I am told is very nice but not sure why you would bother!!!

I personally am sick of the place but have lived there for 3 months now and another 3 to do and after that amount of time any hotel gets on your nerves!!!
The price is not an issue, as long as the food lives up to expectations.

As for the wine, I was wondering if any private compounds offered such 'Festive Dinners' where wine could be available for those who are 'in the loop'.

Oh and 3 months? pssh.. you're a n00b. I've been here long enough to turn me from an epistemological relativist into a nihilist.
A bout of the clap and I'll start calling myself Fred.

Hiya
Apologies in the first instance I'm a newcomer to blogs etc.
I'm hoping to move to Riyahd around May time. Will you be publishing events for 2012; assuming you are still there?
Regards

Shouldn't this thread be deleted and another "Riyadh events for 2012" be here instead? Just curious cause this hasn't been active for a while, and I want to know what's going on this year, and the upcoming months.
