Going on my 3rd year here.  I think I may not have lasted as long if I couldn't live on the DQ..... but that aside, its not as bad as I've heard from others here.....

Not too bad.  I can't complain, better than most of the compounds I've visited. Can be a bit boring if there's nothing goin on but that's the worst of it lol.

My name is Tashriqah.  Im from South Africa, Cape Town.  I have 2kids, aged 3&7.  My husband works for BMW Motors. 

Just by chance that i came across your message, we so wanting to move to the DQ.  We had the kids there for the day & they just loved it.  Its soooo free & lots to do for the kids compared to the little compound we staying at.  We've been told that it is a mission getting in the DQ & been told by an agent that there are nothing available but i find it hard to believe as there are soooo many empty apartments. 

Any advices will be greatly appreciated

Riyadh isn't so bad. It takes a bit of getting used to, then it feels ok.
