Spend ied with family in jakarta, Bogor and puncak. then backpack to Bali, Lombok and Flores inshaallah

Wops,,, your question was: tips to visit Egypt during ied.

Well , once I was in Cairo during Eid (adha) suffice to say that I will try to avoid it.

I stayed in my hotel until afternoon but then went walking near Bab el Nasr in Islamic Cairo. There was plenty of "evidence" of the slaughter, including blood, heads, hooves everywhere.

Hello liberhi,

As Egyptian unfortunately i wouldn't recommend Egypt for you during any Feast the street will be over crowded and what you will see is not the real Egypt, maybe if you have to go and have no other options, go to Sharm Elshikh , Hurghada, Dahab at the eastern side it will be also crowded and avoid the big Cities.
