Big Black/brown Ant in the Apartment... Should I be worried?

Stop worrying about the ant or insects. They are part of our ecosystem.

I dont wanna scare you off and don't know if those ants are the same as those in Riyadh, I got a bite from one hiding in a sock . My calf is swollen since 2 days with itching that embarrased me all day long yesterday

I guess it has initiated some kind of mild allergy.

If you don't want to use medicine try this:

Flush your system with a lot of water
Drink at lease 250 ml of pure coconut milk and mash the meat of the coconut. Mix this with mashed cucumber, apply poultase to calf and bandage over night. Ensure your calf elevated on a pillow. Following morning rub fresh lemon into it. Drink some more coconut juice and eat 4 dates. Should do the trick.

or better yet keep your place clean especially corners where ants or insects usually start crawling, at least use insect killers 2x a week but becareful if you have children at home.goodluck.

I don't really worry about small ants as they are nothing more than an annoyance, but like TheLegendLeads has mentioned, these big ants actually sting and it hurts, which is a reason why I am worried. Anyway, I guess I will have to take extra care and make sure I keep my place clean of any leftover food.

Rather than using toxic insect killers, you can use borax, a naturally occurring mineral composed of sodium, boron, oxygen and water.

Google 'borax to kill ants' and you'll find many websites dealing with this.

The best thing to do is go to the supermarket and get the ant pesticide that is in powder form (or something else if you have kids). They are effective

it will be more effective if you hunt down where they come out of, or if you put it where the doors are
