Access to Western Compounds when not a resident

Hi Everyone,

My wife and I are moving to Riyadh in May/June 2022. We will be living in a stand alone residence i the DQ, which is great, but it has no pool.

The question we have is - do the western compounds offer ex-pats to have a membership to access their pool and gym facilities?

Or are there any good gyms and pools for use by ex-pats near the DQ?

Hello,
don't worry. There are lots of pools and gyms in Riyadh. Near DQ there are for example Olympic Pool Riyadh, Swimming Pool USERA. The are also spas, wellness and gyms right inside DQ. I don't know about the prices. I, myself stay in compound where I can use the gym and the pools for free.

For expat compounds, you need to be invited by a resident. There is usually no membership that allows outsiders to access the facilities. But there are many facilities in or near DQ as mentioned by the previous poster.
