Australian Citizenship & Passport for baby born in Qatar

Hi all,


Do any Australians in Qatar have experience with applying for citizenship and passport for their child born in Qatar. I am due this summer and getting overwhelmed with the process. If so could you please help with the below

  1. What was the process?
  2. What documents did you need prepared from both parents (especially if one parents is not Australian)
  3. How long did it take?


Unfortunately the Embassy has been pretty unhelpful in this regard.
