Outstanding salary and settlement from my former employer.

vvkvvt

I am currently working in Oman. Previously, I was employed by a construction company from 2016 to 2020. Due to the company's collapse and subsequent liquidation, all staff and workers were terminated. Upon the management's request, I extended my stay for an additional 9 months to facilitate the closure of the final account. Upon completion, the company terminated my employment and issued a settlement and unpaid salary details on their letterhead with authorized management signatures. The document explicitly stated the amount owed to me, assuring settlement at the earliest.

After securing new employment and changing my sponsorship, I waited for almost 8 months without any credited amount. Frustrated by the delay, I decided to pursue legal action against my previous company. I engaged a law firm to file a case with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). The legal process took nearly a year, and in August 2022, I finally received a judgment from the court instructing the employer to pay the specified amount.

However, for the past 15 months, I have been consistently following up with my lawyer to obtain the settlement. Unfortunately, each time I inquire, I receive excuses and delays. Despite the court order, nothing has been paid, and my lawyer continues to assure me that it will take more time. I am uncertain about the legal execution process, and I am losing hope. Can someone kindly provide assistance or guidance on how to expedite the execution of the court order? I am deeply confused and frustrated by the prolonged delay in receiving my rightful settlement....
