Exiting without full RP

riri3

Hi Guys
I will be entering Oman for the first time with a valid employment visa for a role in Muscat, I have completed the medicals overseas already. Will I be able to exit Muscat before the residency permit is stamped onto my passport or do I have to be in country until the RP is stamped in the passport and ID card received?
I will be flying in this week but will need to exit the country early next week for a few days before returning again..
Much appreciated.

Hi riri3,

If you are arriving on an employment visa, then you must complete the required medicals and the full registration process before exiting. In other words, you must have your resident card for exiting.

Just for your information, nothing further will be stamped on your passport, except your employment visa. Once the registration is done after the fingerprinting and photo clicking, you will be given your 2-year valid resident card, which will be your legal ID.
