NOC and 2 year visa ban

GvantsaKorkia

Hello everyone. I know this is a frequently discussed topic and  it seems all questions have been answered, but I'm wondering what happens if a former employer decides to give NOC several months after leaving the country. Is it possible to re-enter the country in such case?

Hi GvantsaKorkia,

An NOC from the last employer in hand would allow entry back into the Sultanate before the expiry of 2 years from the date of departure.

So even after exiting without an NOC, if you can manage to get your last employer to send you the NOC, you can come back without waiting for 2 years to elapse.

Thanks my friend, for the quick response.
It changes a lot and I appreciate your help. 🙏

Hello sir,
Im ramees. I worked as an marketing executive in oman from 2011 to nov 2015. My contract with the employer completed and now i work in duabi. I would like to come work somewhere in oman. I didn't ask for an NoC as id a job ready in dubai. Now i wanted to ask my old employer in oman for an NOC.what is the format of the NOC ? should it be bilingual ? I mean both arabic and english or just like a normal release letter. Do you have any image or .doc file of the   NOC letter ?

I have never seen one but I'm sure if you google a sample NOC letter from Oman you might find something. It's probably just arabic, I'm assuming

Hi Ramees1898,

An NOC does not have a fixed format. Employers are free to write in whatever format they wish. Even a letter in all Arabic should be fine.

What is important is that they must mention full and complete details of the former employee : name, sex, nationality, passport number, employee code, duration of employment, designation, et al., clearly and the letter must of course say that the employer / sponsor has 'No Objection' to the former employee's return and re-employment elsewhere within the country.

Needless to add, the letter must be on an official letter head, bearing the company's C.R. (Company Registration) Number and the letter should be signed by an authorised signatory of the company. Proof of which must be produced, along with the company's registration papers - as provided by the Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
