GCC visa (UAE and Oman)

redymasa09

Just wanted to ask if anyone has experience with this.

I recently received a job offer from a company in Oman. The labour clearance has already been issued, and we’re now waiting for the employment visa before I hand in my resignation here in the UAE.

The HR asked for a copy of my UAE visa because their PRO mentioned they need to check if an Oman employment visa can be issued while I still hold an active UAE (Gulf) visa.

Is this normal? Can someone not have valid visas from two different GCC countries at the same time?

I’m a bit hesitant to resign until my Oman work visa is officially issued, so just trying to understand how this process usually works. 😊

Hi Cheryl,

yes. IΒ  received my visa after 8 working days.

I was advised by the HR though that UAE visa has to be cancelled first before entering Oman to prevent any issue.

Hi there.

Therer is nothing to do the visa of Oman with the UAE visa. The most important here that you have a valid job contract and work permit, accordingly authorities in Oman based on the request of the employer with issue the work visa regardless your current visa in any GCC country member.
