Mystery Dining is assessing a restaurant based on a set of pre-defined standards. It is given the 'mystery' tag as the restaurant has no idea they are being assessed.

it is so simple:

u walk into a restaurant as a "casual diner", whilst all the while, you are making notes on certain criteria i.e. cleanliness, friendliness, speed-of-service, whether they got your order correct, whether you got one packet of ketchup and a napkin with your combo meal, that kinda thing.

usually, there is a fee involved, for the mystery diner. u get paid to do this, and write up a report.

and yes, i used to be a mystery diner to. i know the theory of it, but never bothered to do it because the locations were remote and the pay was next-to-nothing, hence it was an inconvenience.

if this however, is not for merely McDonalds, might be interesting.
