Hi Livia

There are two big boook stores in Kuwait;
Jarir Bookstore
Kuwait Book Store.

Google them and you'll find the address/phone number. Jarir Bookstore is a modern bookstore and has heaps of fiction, non-fiction and educational books.

Lily is absolutely right about both bookstores
I have been dealing with Kuwait Books - q8books.com -Q8BOOKS
It is a nice place and Jacob there is a good guy.
Once, there was a Virgin Mega Store in Marina Mall, but they completely shut down their only one in Kuwait, alas!

u guys are lucky I am here

firstly, the best bookshop in Kuwait nowadays is Better Books cafe (link) that is in Salmiya, behind Al-Rashed Hospital on Amman St. it is also a cafe, u can read and drink coffee, its where the toastmasters meet and they also have other classes for dance etc. its very happening and vibrant.

u also have http://www.q8books.com/Q8B/eQ8home.asp where they have their entire library and pricelist available online. it is located in Kuwait City, opposite souk al watiya near the sheraton roundabout.

Side note:

Jarir has good prices - its in Hawally inside Hawally Park on Tunis St. behind mohalab mall.

I think Kuwait Bookstore is the one in the basement of Muthana mall in Kuwait city. just down the street from where Q8Books is
