New to country and need a medical appointment where to go?

Hi,

I'm still fairly new to Bahrain. My company is awaiting news on when I will get my cpr card. I don't get any medical insurance with work. I need a medical appointment to get my routine contraception injection which is once every 3 weeks. In terms of hospitals what hospital do you advise I go to? So far I have only enquired at American mission hospital which said I need a consultation first of 20bd. Is that the standard rate?

Yes the rate is pretty standard for private hospitals. No hospital will give you an injection without a consultation with their inhouse doctor - the one who will prescribe it.
