I just got my work visa approved so will i be able to travel to Bahrain from india? I am worried about the current restrictions.

As far as I know, you won't be able to travel. There was a confusion earlier as to what residency in Bahrain means i.e. work visa holders who get a residence sticker at the airport, are they counted as residents or not. The last announcement I saw from Gulf air, they made it clear that work visa holders, family visa holders and others are not eligible to travel. This can again change but this is what I know at the moment.

As Xtang mentioned, currently this is the condition "In compliance with the Air Bubble agreement with the Republic of India, boarding from India on Gulf Air flights is restricted to Bahraini citizens and Indian passport holders with valid Bahraini residency visas". So i guess you would have to wait till the rules change, however you could call AirIndia/Gulf Air to confirm.
