Bank account without CPR/residency

WorldCitizen89

Dear All,

I‘d like to open a bank account in Bahrain.

Multi currency is required (Dollar and Euro)
No chequebook reuired
Online banking a must

Tried HSBC without luck, hard to find solid information on other banks offering multi currency accounts.

Anyone got recent experience with that?
Not having a CPR is the biggest problem I reckon...

Thanks

Not sure but I have heard that some banks open savings accounts only without that. Know for a fact that they do in uae. Will ask around.

Thanks XTang!

Even the UAE might work for me if nothing comes up in Bahrain...

UAE is relatively simple. Contact banks over the phone and ask them about savings accounts for non residents.  Depending on bank to bank, they may ask for a bank reference from your bank in home country.

Much appreciated, thanks!

Please let me know if you hear anything on banks in Bahrain.
