Job tranfer intention

Hi everybody

I habe been living and working in Bahrain for 1.5 years now and found a new job so would like to tranfer but im am not sure how to do this correctly
in LMRA they said that the easy way would be to obtain a NOC form former employer but that is not a possibility im my company so I decided tp just tell my old employer that I resign and go back home and after he will cancel my visa would like to ask my new employer to apply for visa for me without exiting the country ...
So please advise if that would be possible or any other ways on how to perform this transfer for me ...

Have you spoken to your HR department? They will advise you - they can transfer the visa, it might just be a matter of they don't want to.

I know for sure that they won't that's why want to know how to maybe bypass so won't get a ban or something

If they cancel your visa, you will have to leave Bahrain within 30 days. If you can find a job within a month, they can apply for a visa and sort it out for you but I think you will still have to exit the country and then come back.

One of two ways this can be done.

Either apply for "Mobility" - which requires co-operation from your current employer.

Otherwise, resign and once your current employers have cancelled the residence permit, get your new employers to arrange a new residence permit for you. As stated above, once your residence permit is cancelled, you can remain in Bahrain legally for 30 days only, so make sure your new employers can get your work visa and residence permit sorted out within this time.

There is the risk that your current employer can turn nasty and make it difficult for you to get a new residence permit and work visa. So do keep this in mind.

Bit what dobu exactly mean that my current employer can make it nasty fpr me ... what je cam do ... I heard that he may refuse to cancel my visa but In that case he will have his visa quota occupied and won't be able to replace me with someone else right ?
What else he can do ?

From what I have heard there are some unscrupulous employers who make it a nightmare for staff to leave unless they pay huge sums of money. They may say this is for visa and other processing costs incurred by them in bringing the employee down. The other way is to bring up false claims that the employee has committed fraud. That way they can block you from leaving.

I hope your current employer is not this type and they will just let you move on.
