Barain CPR number/Good conduct certificate

Emmalee1000

Hi,

My husband will be applying for PR in Canada soon. We require a good conduct certificate as he worked in Barain for 9 months in 2017. My husband no longer has his old passport with visa/CPR number details. My husband lives in Germany whilst I live in England. The Embassy in Berlin advised he cannot get a good conduct certificate without the CPR number. I also called the Embassy in London, who confirmed the same. We were asked if we knew any friends in Barain, which we don't.

Does anyone know any agency based in Barain that may be able to find out my husbands CPR number? Or another way around getting the certificate without this?

If he can get in touch with this ex-employer in Bahrain, maybe they have some documents archived; else you will need to engage a lawyer in Bahrain and seek assistance.

Two embassies have told you already that you need a CPR number.  So not sure what you are asking re: "way round this".   The fault is yours - a passport and governent identification number is an important document that you should retain always.  Nowadays it is easier as you can always scan them to avoid the issue of losing a physical document.

As logicalindian said, your only choice is to contact the past employer and see if they have any record of your CPR/passport.   An agency cannot do anything without knowing your passport number or CPR number from that time.

Apologies I was hoping there may be another way to recover the CPR number more than anything. We know the passport number but it's not enough (according to an agency I contacted). I'm very disappointed my husband lost the passport holding his CPR number.

I appreciate the time you have taken to respond, thank you. I thought it would be worth one last try to ask a knowledgeable group.

OK thank you for your response. We are awaiting his past employers response, I pray it is stored somewhere digitally. Thanks again.
