American Moving to Höllviken With Family
Hello I’m new here- I’m from Atlanta GA and we are moving to Höllviken just outside of Malmö in July.
My husband is Swedish and our children ages 10 and 8 speak Swedish. However I do not. While we do have some family there, this will be a fun but I am sure hard transition.
I was hoping to find an expat community in the area. Would love to have some connections when we arrive!

Hi! Höllviken area is beautiful and lovely in summer, although I believe that a lot of people you'll find there in summer are only there for the summer months, it's pretty deserted in winter. Kind of like a vacation town. Of course there are people who live there permanently, but I haven't met any expats who do so. We spend a lot of time in Höllviken since our little sailboat is there, but we live in Malmö because of social life, not too bad of a drive from Höllviken! I can recommend checking out the GGI Malmö Facebook group (girl gone international) for women of all ages connecting and ask this question there too. Same for 'The English Speaking Malmö Dwelling Society' group, a good place to ask this too!
