Which is the best city in Spain to move to?

I am looking to move to Spain as a Digital Nomad and could use some advice please to find somewhere warm, affordable and close to beaches.

Also should I visit the town first before i move?

Others on here may disagree. However, what I would say what is best for one is not a priority for another.

Yes, I would visit the area first before you make a commitment, and certainly view as many places to get the feel of the place.

Hi Vicky, I agree with the others: visiting before committing makes a huge difference, ideally for a few weeks rather than a few days, so you see daily life and not just holiday mode. If warm, affordable and close to the beach are your top three, Valencia, Alicante, Málaga and Cádiz are all worth comparing, keeping in mind that smaller coastal towns can feel very quiet in winter once the summer crowds leave. As a digital nomad, check the coworking spaces and internet quality in each place, they are also a great way to meet people. Language exchange meetups (intercambios) and local markets are, in my view, the fastest way to connect with Spanish neighbours rather than staying in an expat bubble. Good luck with your move!
