Young family moving to Edinburgh from London

Hi all,

We are getting ready for a big move to Edinburgh by the beginning of next year. I have 4 children aged between 12 and 3 years old. Wondering if anyone knew of good places to live in Edinburgh. Been looking at West Edinburgh. There seems to be a few good schools around.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! I'm a South African expat living in Edinburgh. There is a very big African community and they mainly use Facebook groups to communicate. If you are on Facebook you can look up :

South Africans in Edinburgh
South Africans in Glasgow
South Africans living in Scotland

On those pages there is NOT just South African's.

As far as West Edinburgh, it's a huge area. Do you have a specific superb(s) in mind? I worked in property management for 11 years in Edinburgh so know most areas quite well.
