Registration for national insurance numbers

Hi
If I move to Scotland with my partner & kids & my partner has a job, are we entitled to GP visits as spouse/dependants or should we all register for national insurance numbers?
Thanks for any advice

Couldn't really get a definitive answer - anybody got any other answers please? 😊
I'm pretty sure you should apply for a NI number.
