CTT - Solidarity Campaign

CTT - National Post Offices are organising a campaign to collect clothes, articles and basic goods to help the population of Ukraine.

Between Wednesday and Friday (this week), just go to one of CTT Post Offices, deliver your donation and it will be sent free of charge.

does this also apply to everybody escaping from other wars around the world? "as well as to those who come to our country to escape from this war" seems to refer to a specific war.

This CTT solidarity campaign has been extended until 8 March (it may continue if the amount of donations justifies it).

Portugal for Ukraine

Portugal for Ukraine is an initiative by the Portuguese Government to combine in one place all the actions underway regarding the conflict in Ukraine, in terms of international action, sending humanitarian aid and the integration and hosting of displaced persons in Portugal.

Aiming to give a quick response and forward the citizen requests/offers of help, an automated questionnaire was developed with 5 categories of needs that direct the request/offer of help to the public entity best prepared to respond to the problem presented:

- I'm in need of international protection

- I'm an Ukrainian needing help settling in Portugal

- I'm Portuguese and need help leaving Ukraine

- I'm giving help

- I'm providing jobs

Temporary Protection Regime

The Portuguese government has applied the temporary protection regime to Ukrainian citizens and their relatives who cannot return to their country due to the war situation. The regime also covers citizens of other nationalities residing in Ukraine who cannot return to the country for the same reason.

Portugal created a special protection program for Ukrainian citizens coming from the conflict with the attribution of a Temporary Protection Status, which includes:

- Residence Permit
- Tax Identification Number (NIF)
- Social Security Identification Number (NISS)
- National Health Service (SNS) user number.

These identification numbers give access to health care in public facilities, enrollment in job offers, social protection, among others.
The protection has an initial duration of one year, which can be extended for another year, as long as the conditions preventing people from returning to their country continue to prevail.

Португальська держава застосувала режим тимчасового захисту для громадян України та їхніх сімей, які не можуть повернутися до своєї країни через стан війни. Режим також поширюється на громадян інших національностей, які є родичами, подружжям або перебувають в фактичниму шлюбі (співжитті) з громадянами української національності, які також не можуть повернутися в Україну з тієї ж причини.

Коли вони прибувають до Португалії, їм присвоюється особливий статус про тимчасовий захист (Título de Proteção Temporária), який включає автоматичне призначення:

- Вида на проживання (Título de Residência)
- Номера платника податків (NIF)
- Ідентифікаційного номера соціального страхування (NISS)
- Номера пацієнта Національної служби охорони здоров'я (SNS).

Ці ідентифікаційні номери дають доступ до системи охорони здоров’я, освіти, права на роботу, соціальний захист тощо.
Захист діє протягом початкового періоду в один рік, який може бути продовжений ще на один рік за умови, що обставини, які не дозволяють людям повернутися в свою країну, продовжують існувати.

The Association of Ukrainians in the Algarve (AUA) has set up a "Together for Ukraine!" logistics center in Faro. Goods collected in the various Algarve locations are sent to this center. Who can inform you better are these associations:
