Anyone gotten there's in Lagos?

citygrrl33

Hi there, American, currently living in UK, and hoping to apply for my D7 this year. I'm on a scouting trip in PT now to figure out where I can afford property and would enjoy living. The warm weather and blue ocean are amazing! My first task will be to get my NIF which I'm nervous about. Anyone gotten there's in Lagos?

Hi CityGirl, Welcome.

Why nervous? ... Here's what you need:

It seems to me that you have to make an appointment for personal attendance through the Call Centre (CAT) - 217 206 707, working days, from 9am to 7pm

This wasn't necessary until before the pandemic, but now that the pandemic is over, pre-bookings for these services remain and are here to stay to anyone, nationals and expats.... c'est la vie .... :(

@JohnnyPT I know it is a bit silly to be nervous, but the first time you start navigating bureaucracy in a new country it is unnerving. Calling for an appointment is more daunting than just showing up, but thanks to your post I won't make that mistake. cheers!

In the call centre they speak English, or at least, most of them.

You can also look for a solicitor, although I don't think it's necessary for something so basic.
