Getting BSN as Argentinean

Tuska

As title says. I am staying in the Netherlands, at Maastricht with a partner MVV, I got my residence card type 1 and I went to the municipality to get my bsn but I was rejected as my birth certificate is in digital format, as my country no longer gives it in paper. Does anyone else had the same experience or I was just unlucky with whoever was in front of me?

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

The Dutch law with regard to acceptance of documentation issued by other nations is described on the Dutch Government website; this link will take you straight to the section applicable to Argentinian nationals.  Having skimmed through it, they advise you to go back to the Gemeente and ask them how you can proceed.

Advice on obtaining a new document is on the Argentinian Consular website; this link will take you straight to it.

I hope this helps.
