Gynecologist in Italy

Hi! I am moving to Florence in 10 days - and need to find a gynecologist who does hormone implants.

Any suggestions?

I'm willing to go to another city in Italy if necessary.

Thanks!

HELP!

I would go to your local GP and ask for a referral.

Thanks - but I've already asked my doctor in the US and he had no suggestions. I found a doctor who can perform the implant procedure, but the medication pellet (estradiol) isn't available.

Hello I see unfortunately the post is 2 years old? I post however having a GYN in Rome who specializes in Bio Identical HRT. I live in Florence. From my research over the past 2.5 years, pellet therapy which I too had in the US is not approved in Italy. This, creams and pills are the available delivery method. I’m of a patient experience opinion that pellets for me were more efficacious than creams. Alas, that’s the go to! I’ve also discovered Italy is “dose prohibited” when one reaches a certain age? I do however endorse oversight of care w/ lab monitoring.
