Health care is always the 1st thing when you move to a new country, there already quite some discussion on the medical insurance, seems people are not satisfied with neither the public nor private medical service, still struggling.

What's your point? Or question?

In many ways it is a good thing that the medical is a bit difficult here, it is a deterant to going to the doctors.
I haven't gone to the doctor here in nearly now 2 years and even then I only went because my husband was going to pick up some BP pills, I hated to waste a visit so we doubled up. I just got a script for some blood work, your normal check up, all good.
I am nearly 65 and take zero meds and do not go to the doctors any longer unless I can actually see something wrong. I take my blood pressure readings once in awhile at home, have low BP, 103 over 69 or 71 most times.
Had surgery in HU twice and hope to never see another doctor until I'm ready for my death bed, seeing docotrs will bring that day on a lot faster then just avoiding any medical visits.
Live and learn, doctors really only know how to write out scripts for drugs, they know nothing about preventing illness.

Sometimes I think the Docs are just guessing and doing experiments on the patients.

I've got some conditions but I've never been overnight in hospital and I'm knocking at 60 so fingers crossed that it continues.  I am hoping I inherited the old age gene like my 95 year old Dad.  His relatives were all long lived - well into their 90s.  Health is sometimes maybe just good genes.

Good genes and good diet and lifestyle, stress will kill anyone.
Many seniors pass away from being lonely and not so much from being ill.
Both my parents passed at age 67 so for me that is the marker.
Auntie was old, age 72 but most passed in the mid 40's on both sides.
Everyday is a blessing and I try to make the most of each day .
Doctors are guessing most time, dang my step- dad had advanced colon cancer at age 40 and our much trusted family doc and his ass. treated him for 6 months for hemroids!
They were really nice but not up for such a serious case as his.
They sent him to a specialist later but 6 months is forever in the cancer game.
