Medical insurance in Hungary

I have been to several private doctors and dentists in Hungary over the years.

Went to a private gastro doctor, a old friend of my BIL.

Had a private office visit with no one else in the waiting room; his assistant and he did a scope on me and found cancer.

He did the biopsy; sent it all in quickly for lab tests and then just sent me on into the TAJ system to see a surgeon.

I refused surgery; glad I did listen to myself and weighed the risks without being talked into surgery.

I am fine now; so far no surgery. Although they did nearly do me in by trying to save money but not giving me a cheap generic test first. I was very allergic to chemo drugs.  I took things a bit into my own hands; investigated different vitamins; herbs and teas to help myself. Went along with their radiation therapy in combo with doing my own treatments. In fact even mu oncologist looked mystified when I told him what I was taking, they do not know much other then what they learn in medical school.

I also  had cataract surgery on both eyes before I got ill with my other issue.

It was done with national health and done rather quickly even though I refused the C 19 vax and the  lock downs were happening.

My vision was that bad. Had to wait a couple months though for my second eye surgery. Had all the covid nose swaps done before surgery, had no choice to refuse those.

Second eye got infected; not sure how that happened because I followed all post surgery care. My vision in that one eye is OK but not as good as the none infected eye came out.

Over the years I have picked up 4 infections from treatments given in national health. One in my eye, one in my shoulder stitches, one in a tooth and one in my lady parts after a simple exam.

Not a great track record to me. At least the price was right.

I should correct myself. My tooth infection came from a private dentist.

I try to foget about that one!

Crazy guy had no business pulling teeth.

I went to him to get a back crown replaced.

He told me he had to just pull the tooth out.

I figured since it was the very last back tooth that I would not miss it much so told him OK pull it out then.

I am 100% not joking. He tugged; pulled rested and pulled some more for an hour plus!

Tooth was bleeding all over but not coming out; I have strong teeth but that was a bit much!

He then showed my husband and I his arm; he had a good 50% of his muscles cut out. He had some sort of injury and no strength to pull out a tooth.

He called another dentist to come in and finish the job since it had to come out at that point. Blood all over and half out and he broke the tooth as well.

Walked into the packed by then waiting room for the other dentist to show up.

A women took one look at me with a blood stain on mu chin and broke out crying! All the patients got quiet and had a look of panic on their faces; I looked like a monster, a a vampire!

The other dentist came about 30 mins later; pulled and tugged for another good 30 mins and finally the tooth came out. They told me to go straight away to the dental school because they had broken a piece that was in my jaw!

They had the nerve to still charge us for a tooth removal!!

I was done with it, they gave me a script for antibiotics and I just could not think about running in the evening to the dental school which more then likely was closed for the day.

The broken piece stayed in my jaw for a few years until I had other work done at the dental school and asked them to remove the broken piece with surgery.

I would highly recommend the dental school for anyone who has a complicated case. Takes a long time for all the work to be done there but they do not skip any corners and all the work is double checked.

They take photos of your teeth as they work for their profile to graduate school.

The dental school as all the latest equipment and can handle anything.

When we took the tram ho,e after that nightmare dental experience and my bloody face; I wish I had a camera to catch the looks of horror on everyones face on the tram when they saw me. The blood stains faded in a day but I could of been hired as an extra in a horro r film without having to see the makeup dept. first.
