When you think Germany will open borders for non-eu citizens?

I can understand the frustration of not knowing but one will not get any reliable answers here – or anywhere other than directly from official embassy/consulate sources – and even they can’t foresee the future.  There are plans to start opening up things bit by bit soon starting with re-opening some manufacturers and small shops. On the other hand, I have lost the entirety of my year’s income because I am a performer and nearly all of my gigs are in the summer. They have already said that large events will not happen until after the end of August at the soonest. But many government offices are actually working although not open to the public. I can imagine that some immigration issues will soon go forward if they don’t require face to face interviews – or maybe they do them online… But this is again based on speculation and different offices and consulates might take different strategies. One needs to have patience and keep in contact if possible with officials to find out the latest information.

Border and embassy closures will not be lifted all at the same time - much depends on the local situation in the host country.
So there is no other choice than following related news closely - and hoping for the best.

You are right, I have to follow the official government body's announcements and be patient.

I will be honest, I am currently employed in my country. The company in Germany offered me to work remotely for some months until the borders are opened. I can work remotely but I am scared that after sometime the Europe or Germany may decide to keep borders closed for 1 year for non-eu citizens. In this case, the company in Germany may want to continue with another person who live in Germany or in Europe who doesn't have a travel restriction. And I would be unemployed

The crisis hits all of us in certain ways.
My job is (still) safe, but my elderly mother's partner passed away last week and she is infected with the virus herself.
I hate to add to your worries, but in the expected economic downturn, isn't it more likely that the job disappears altogether, rather than them hiring another person instead of you?
Letting you go is easy during the initial six months probation period.

Sorry for your loss. Yes health is the most important thing right now that we need to focus.

I guess june/july

even I am in the same boat, was happily working in Denmark - but I resigned to take job in Germany and came to home country for short break and I am stuck here from March. the situation must subside in 2 months by mid of July

I hate to say it but there really is no point in guessing, things can change on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. You just have to follow the news and wait and see how things pan out.

guys he knows that you cannot tell him exactly when boarders are gonna open he is simply just asking for opinions. I hope that by july things will get better!
