Looking for a German friend losing contact 8 years ago

I have known a person who was called Juergen W,  he is a kind man. We first met in Shenzhen in the year of 2012, in  China, and  went to the exhibition together. The last time we saw each other was in Bangkok 2015. He was born around the year of 1945-1948.  A nice and kind man. After that I sent a few emails and no replies ever since.

I will be in Cologne on June 22 next month.

Appreciated much if  anyone knows this person, and can share  information about him?

best regards

Harry

Jürgen W is a common name - I guess you already tried googling him and found nothing useful, right?

The chance that anyone here knows him is very small, sadly. Good luck anyway!

Hello and welcome !

Try to post an advert in the classifieds for better visibility : https://www.expat.com/en/classifieds/europe/germany/

Have you tried social media (fb) ?

Obviously one can use Google and these days AI assisted searches vary with all the main words that might apply like his name, where he was from, his occupation etc. But I can say that it recent years I also looked for lost contacts in Germany and elsewhere in Europe. But surprisingly there are people who don't use social media and have no digital -footprint. People's private info like their address, healthcare, tax info etc. is all protected to a high degree from government or other providers giving it out.
