Hello everyone,

What are the main festivals in France? Are there art, food, music, film, or other festivals expats can attend and participate in?

When do the festivals take place? How long does each festival usually last?

What activities go on during the festival? Is it necessary to buy tickets?

Are there any other events that take place in France that shouldn't be missed?

Hi Priscilla,

I guess every expats can attend and paticipate in all the festivals, especially if you can speak a bit French.

I don't know much more about activities. And of course, according to festivals you'll need a ticket.

I also recommand you to go to some "salons".
If you are in Paris or any other big cities you could find lots of them, and interesting ones such as "le salon du chocolat" (you can try lots of different kinds of chocolates : http://www.salon-du-chocolat.com/), le salon du livre (where you can meet some writers), le salon du fantastique...
And you could go to some Comic Con and Japan expo events as well !
