Hello everyone!

I hope you're well.

How does it feel to be locked down once again in your expat country?

How are you coping with work, family and the absence of social life?

What about your children's schooling?

Feel free to share your feelings with us by replying on this thread.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Warm regards,

Hi and thank you for the question.

To be honest, for us, nothing much has changed except the requirement to wear masks pretty much everywhere and they have closed all the pubs, clubs and restaurants unless they provide a takeaway service; wearing a mask doesn't bother us and not being big pub-goers, it hasn't affected us at all.

The reason the pandemic was spreading again was people were not obeying the social distancing rules, going to the pub, have a few drinks, being unable to keep their hands off each other - eh voila.

Working - recommended to work at home where possible, otherwise work carries on.

Schools - are open, some disruption due to some teachers and pupils having to self-isolate if tested positive or exposed to the virus.

Hope this helps.

In Vietnam we have been extremely lucky thanks to the government acting on this virus immediately. Schools colleges universities was shut down on 24 January .Chinese tourists was sent back to China and all flights canceled indefinitely. There was no panic buying in the supermarkets everybody had no problem wearing masks sanitizing lotions was available in hotels and in supermarkets also temperature gauges were used to see if people did not have a fever . We have had a very very low death rate and have been virus free for quite some time. International flights have been canceled since March. This government has done a fantastic job in containing the virus and not letting it spread.
