Family reunification

Ahmed Esmail6

I live in Denmark under a family reunification being married to a Danish woman. Last week we got divorced and both of us accepted to sign.

I have been in Denmark since 5 years and we have a child. I do not have a permanent job but i work as a vikar so i have no fixed hours. I also receive dagpenge because i have studied in Denmark, i speak Danish and i am on the last module in the sprog skole.

Now i am waiting the immigration department to write me , so i am wondering what should I do ? And if i can apply for a family reunification because i have a Danish child who is 4 and half years old.

I hope anyone can answer or refer me to an expert lawyer and i will pay for sure.

Hi Ahmed,

I don't know whether it makes any difference whether you have a lawyer or not as it all will depend on SIRI's judgement of the total bricks in the puzzle.

However, I have found two random lawyer companies with experience within family reunification which claim they can help.

I see that they offer advice on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 am - 2 pm without appointment, and that the first phone meeting is free.

The company states that their help will cost you 10,000 kroner, but it seems that cases like yours will be free as the state will pay for the assistance.
At least, they'll give you a free assessment of your case.

Don't hesitate to contact the lawyers.
