Fishing permit

Does anyone know the latest rules for getting a fishing permit in Bulgaria if you’re a foreigner without Bulgarian residency? - @tammyunhelpful314

Anyone can buy a permit, including holidaymakers. There's a reduction if you're over 60/65 (female/male). You can get a weekly/monthly/half-yearly/annual permit. There are limits on catch sizes. You don't need a permit to fish private waters but the operators have their own charges and rules. There's no close season on private waters.

PS There are gear and catch limits for sea fishing but no permit required.
