Garden centres

jeanmandredeix

Now we are finally here I would like to buy a few fruit trees and some other garden plants. I tried a Google search and could find nothing.

Any ideas on where I might find something like that? We are in the north east, Silistra being the closest town.

On market day through the spring our nearest small town usually has a stall with bare rooted fruit trees and lots of bedding plants and veggie seedlings. Worth checking, though it may be a bit late for the bare-rooted fruit trees.

There's also mail order, my neighbour gets plants delivered via Ekont in spring and autumn. I'm not sure where she orders from in Bulgaria, but there are plenty of online "garden centre" style sites in France and The Netherlands which will send to Bg.

There are specialist garden centres all over Bulgaria, most of them pretty shamateurish if you aren't sure what you want or how to care for what you've got.  Several Dutch plant nurseries ship to Bulgaria, often at no charge if you spend a minimum amount.  Try google, or AI if you struggle with Bulgarian..or try the big online UK nurseries and have Gabieli/GGBG etc ship them to you.
