It's some time away, but make a note of it. From 2027, Austria will stop the adhesive vignette that goes on the car window. It will just be the digital vignettes, which should not make any difference as they can be bought from petrol stations, tabacs, online, etc.

I buy all my vignettes online. (Austria, Hungary, Ronania and Bulgaria) before I leave home. I buy all of then for a week (BG 3 months). So I can be flexible with travel plans. The total difference for all the vignettes combined is only around 6 Euros
