The standard of living and security is probably not much different than what you’re experiencing now. You pay for what you get regardless of where you go in the world. If you’re looking for a cheap paradise, you will not find it. And if you don’t speak Spanish, you won’t have much accommodation there. Panamanians are a unique people and the only way for you to experience that is to go live there for a year and rent an apartment or house. personally, I lived there for one year and I know now how to survive there. But, my goals and expectations are very different than most gringos. I am sure you have seen the glorious promotion videos on YouTube about how wonderful a paradise it is, but do not believe it. You have to live there to know if it’s your personal paradise or not. hope that helps. Hasta Luego
