Shipping a car to the DR

I  know this topic has been covered ad nauseam.

I listened to the advice and still can't find a company to ship our car.  We decided not to buy one there since this one was given to us, which means the only money we pay is the import fees.

We whatsapped Suggey Torribio - no response

We called jadeintl - David Rode stated - We are unable to handle this as it’s considered personal effects, after telling me he had to make sure the car wasn't stolen.

We called Radca cargo - no answer - we emailed as well - no answer

We called Hispaniola and emailed - No answer

We tried to reach Bontero in Miami - no answer

When i say no answer, we have been calling for at least a week, daily

We are looking for someone to help us with customs and first tag once the vehicle reaches DR.

with all the calling we found Crowley who will get the car there in 4 days, per them.

any help would be appreciated.

Have you owned it a full year?  That is a requirement with residency exemption honey.

And I am sorry Suggey has not responded. I guess I won't be recommending her in the future!

Hi, yes we received it in 2023.   we have owned it at least a year.

OH, also we weren't looking for a residency exemption.  We just wanted a company to handle  door to door

@amicably33 hello: I brought my car via broker.  Please contact me directly I will give you information

@planner

It took her over a week to respond to us. By then we had already found another broker.

@RockyM

That is not good but probably normal here. Carumba

@amicably33

Please understand the time of the year! Many people take vacations, and small companies often close up shop from Christmas through Three Kings Day (January 6). Once they return to work on 1/7, they have to catch up on all the emails, texts, and voicemails that they've received over the previous two weeks.

Also, are you sending WhatsApp messages and emails in Spanish? Messages they don't have to translate might get attention first!

Great points!
