Volunteer Opportunities

sparks1093

So wife said she hopes we don't get bored when we retire and I said there's lots to see on the island and we'd be able to volunteer for things like we do here (we are active members of the Lions Club and active in our church). But then I wondered if volunteering for a lot of stuff meant that we'd need work visas. My gut says no, but I don't want to rely on that in a foreign country. Also, what types of volunteer activities have you seen?
