Handicapped surfer moving to Da Nang

Skyler Champagne

I’m a 31 year old surfer with Cerebral Palsy, looking to move to Da Nang in December! I’ll be bringing my dog as well, she’s a very sweet puppy. We are both life loving beings.

I’m writing to learn resources, knowledge, and arrange for someone professional to help me get from the airport, to my future apartment with her safely. As well as make some friends and know some dos and don’ts before I come that way! I’m excited to experience the area.

For any information I’d be eternally grateful.

Hello Skyler Champagne,

Welcome to Expat.com

Just to let you know, I have moved your thread to the Da Nang forum so that you can connect directly with members who are already living there. They will be in the best position to give you tips, resources, and possibly recommend professionals who can help you upon arrival.

Wishing you the best as you prepare for your adventure!

Please keep us posted on your plans, we would love to hear from you.

Cheers,

Cheryl

Because of your multiple challenges, I would encourage you to have at least your first few days at a high quality, full service hotel (4 or 5 star).

Once you have your reservation with them you can communicate your specific needs including the pickup and of course also make sure that your pet is allowed.

Then because you're in a good full service hotel You will have the use of the concierge who can help you get specific help you need with your activities
