Van Don airport entry

Hello everyone!

I am confused by the news of Vietnam open up Van Don Airport for foreigners who are fully vaccinated to enter. But there is no flight from anywhere in the world to Van Don directly. Does anyone have any information about that?

Van Dong is a private airport, built, owned, and operated by Sun Group. The only two international routes are Shenzhen and Seoul. The only two foreign airlines are both Chinese owned but one of them is a charter airline, IIRC.

The re-opening of Van Dong is a 30 day trial to serve repatriation flights and special category groups.

I have been following this carefully as well.

I'm an investor.

There seems to be a great deal of confusion about it.

To add further confusion, I am covid recovered and unvaxxed. The trial permits us along with the fully vaxxed. 12 months from hospital discharge papers.

One week in , nobody on the Facebook group knows anyone about it so I don't think it's going yet

I check the airport arrivals and there havnt been any interernational ones!!
