I'm sure the technology is very similar to the emergency broadcast system in the United States

I read somewhere that announcements were going to be periodically made across all the networks by the authorities here. Haven't had the TV on for a couple of days so have not as yet seen the broadcast.

Thing is it was in English, gave a full breakdown on the cases here one by one incl foreigners & then went back to speaking Vietnamese. Think it was VTV 5.

May a bad idea to show in English on TV.
Anyone in an apartment manager by Savills ?

Worst management I have come across. Despite around a third of the occupants being English in this building they only publish notices in Vietnamese.  And more recently ones related to virus and restrictions being enforced in the building.

Neighbours were being refused access because they were not wearing a mask... Notice sent to everyone in VN so they had little chance of understanding it.

Airbnb guests are being refused entry... So have been told to leave ?

Swimming pool (chlorinated) closed to stop spread.. but chlorine with correct minimum level stops or kills the virus.

We have a residents chosen management team running the place. But it seems that fear has taken over and anything they read (true or false) gets used as fact.

They deny the WHO know anything about the virus. It's a little crazy.

I get that people are worried, and rightly so.. bit when hearsay and the media are being used as a fact based source of info it makes things a little crazy.

No short term guests allowed, but it's ok because the main entrance is always wide open.. so anyone can walk in.

We have random days of a badly trained security guy using a hand held digital thermometer.
Points at head... reads numbers and does nothing.

When i ask what readign i show (out of curiousity) he shows me and has no idea what it means.
Havent had anything other than that so far.
But residents (older ones i suspect) getting very twitchy

Don't bend over if he has a thermometer in his hand.

They do have English speaking programs here. The military has one, so does Canh Sat.
