Hello there.
I am planning to go to Thailand ( Phuket). Do you have idea about this city. Do you know any rental apartment (RE agency) in your area. I am in process of selecting a good area to spend my retirement.

I went, and ran away.

I got sick of young prostitutes hanging out of bars trying to get me to buy them, and tuk tuk drivers pestering me to take their crappy tours to pearl shops where they earn a commission for you paying them to take you there.

The last straw was an aggressive ladyboy who grabbed my arm in an attempt to make me take it back to my hotel room.

It's a great place if you like sex with girls who look way too young, or bedding men in dresses.

I got out of the dump.

As for retirement there, all that 24/7 crap with no escape would drive me mad. Imagine trying to walk to the local shops to buy a few groceries,  but being stopped every 2 minutes by prostitutes and/or tuk tuk drivers out to rip you off.  Hell on earth.

However, I understand some people like the place.
