Phuket at Xmas & New Year

kevh

Visiting Phuket for Xmas & New year with my family. It’s years since we last stayed in Phuket. We’ve booked a hotel near Patong Beach for Xmas as our daughters wanted to stay somewhere with a bit of nightlife & shopping, even though I understand celebrations are likely to be restricted due to the mourning period for the late Queen.Any other recommendations of beaches/places to stay for New Years Eve? Last time we were in Phuket we stayed in Kamala Bay. Thanks.

Hello

I went to Siam Niramit for a nice dinner and show. The dinner was international buffet and they had an indoor show and outdoor show. Also, a folk village to walk through. Did this for Christmas last year. Very enjoyable

@scbrock

Slight change of plan now. We’ve booked a place near Kata Beach.🙄Can you recommend anywhere that does a good buffet style dinner with a show, bit of traditional Thai dancing etc. Thanks.

You can still go to Siam Niramit but that's your choice. The only other one I could recommend it Phuket Fantasea. I haven't been to it. It is is Kamala.
