Anyone living in Kathu, Phuket?

Hello everyone,

I just joined expat.com some minutes ago.
I am planning to settle in Kathu and I would like to know more about the place from the perspective of someone who has already made it there (lived and made a living).
I know I can Google general information but I also think it would be nice to hear first hand stories from reliable people. Simple tips and maybe an overview of how people live as well as the in demand industries in the place would be helpful. More importantly, I would like to know about the English teaching industry within the place and how strict they are with the qualifications especially if you happen to be a foreigner.
