Best for you is to get a TESOL qualification so you may be able to get a teaching job.

Work is hard to get in Thailand and unless you have qualifications that a Thai person does not have, you will not get a job.

Maybe do a job search online.

Best thing is ,,,according ur qualifications to find a teaching job , high pay would be in an International school,
But if ur qualifications are really interesting you could find a job into teaching in Bangkok or elsewhere..

TESL or TEFL certification is a requirement, I think you already have it.
if not may be try to get one while you r here, and also the same time do the job hunting.

Why did you expect something better?

Thailand wants Thais working in it's work force. Foreigners come last. Unless you have a unique skill or training, your options are extremely limited.

As Rob123 wrote, your best bet is probably to get your TEFL certificate. I believe it costs about $1500 now. That said, most English schools prefer native English speakers. Good luck.

you are right. i have an idea of tesol and ielts here. i am hopeful. here in pakistan i am in threat owing to my books.

With a Masters in English and your experience, you might not need the certificate, particularly at the university level. 

With your language set, I would think working in India would be easier.

Being from Pakistan, I would think it would be easier to get a job and papers in Indonesia or Malaysia.  You probably speak Arabic as well so possibly working for an Indonesian oil outfit making deals with Middle East oil companies?
